Fight the Good Fight

My aunt sent me a wonderful book a while back written by Joel Osteen. I enjoy his messages, particularly in this book. It’s a book made up of several devotions to start the day. It reminds me of things I often forget, especially when going through a trying time (like this one), or when I’m feeling weak or hopeless. There are many inspiring words within the book and I think I’ll start sharing them every so often to pass along the inspiration.

“Make no mistake about it, there will be opposition in your life; there will be weapons formed against you, and they may be formidable and frightening. You will not go under; you will go through. The Scripture says, ’A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all’ (Psalm 34:19). When things get tough or things don’t go your way, keep your confidence up. The Bible says when you’ve done all you know how to do, just keep on standing strong. Keep praying, keel believing, keep singing songs of praise. Keep fighting the good fight. If you do that, God promises to bring you out with the victory.”  Joel Osteen

I truly believe this. I’ve seen it with my own eyes so many times. It’s in the times that we have no confidence, are scared, weak and afraid that we must lean on the Lord the most. He is there to strengthen and comfort us and get us through, but we must have FAITH. Faith brings so much joy, peace, love and comfort into life no matter what we are going through.
